Barbara L. Stewart

Barbara has practiced real estate and business law in North Carolina, since 2002. Her focus is on real estate closing, primarily residential real estate, but she has also closed many large and complex commercial real estate loans, purchases and sales for builders and developers. In the process of doing so, she has set up many limited liability companies and corporations. She also provides business formation services to many business clients, mostly in the real estate investment market. Prior to joining Revolution Law Group this year, she ran her own law firm for ten years.

Barbara views communication as a very important part of her practice. Realtors who work with her are encouraged to call or email with questions that she can answer to help with their sales and purchase transactions. Her clients are also encouraged to do so. In a closing, she spends the time to ensure that the buyers understand what they are signing and agreeing to. Her fluency in Spanish allows her to provide closings in English and in Spanish.

Prior to practicing real estate law, she was in-house counsel for AT&T and Lucent Technologies for twelve years, working with clients worldwide. Before law school, she taught English as a Second Language, both domestically and abroad, for eight years.
